Celerity Automation, Inc. is headquartered in Paintsville, Kentucky, and most company personnel call the Eastern Kentucky highlands home. The roots are deep. For most of thirty years, many of the Celerity managers worked in the same location as members of Ward Engineering Co. What started as an "engineering house“ almost four decades ago, is quickly becoming a state-of-the-art, hi-tech manufacturing center.

After Celerity Automation acquired the former Ward facility, the 50,000+ sq ft building was refitted and refurbished. One of the largest industrial buildings in Eastern Kentucky, the Celerity Automation headquarters now houses the manufacturing facilities, engineering department and executive offices of the company. Plans are on the drawing boards for further development of the sprawling 11-acre site. Planned expansion includes a new administrative and engineering building and an improved shipping/receiving area. Both developments will create more manufacturing space, providing greater capacity as demand for Celerity’s products increases.

Future Growth
As Celerity Automation, Inc. grows, it is expected to become an important factor in the economic life of Paintsville, and the surrounding area. Not only is direct payroll expected to increase, but the money that flows through Celerity for manufacturing materials and the secondary businesses it creates will help increase the economic activity of the area.
